Reports and artifacts

Purpose: find the reports and test attachments that a historical run produced.

Prerequisites: a completed Playwright-aware run with Enhanced integration in Run history.

Watcher records references to report destinations and test attachments. It does not copy, archive or generate reports. Your reporters keep writing their files exactly where your configuration says.

Open the Reports and Artifacts sections

  1. Open Run Detail for a run in Recent Runs.
  2. Select Reports or Artifacts to expand the section. Watcher loads the references, 50 per page.
  3. Use Refresh, Next and First to reload or page through them.

Reports

Watcher recognizes destinations for these reporters:

  • HTML
  • JSON
  • JUnit
  • Blob
  • Allure results (raw allure-results)
  • Custom reporters, which are listed without interpretation

Terminal reporters such as list write to the console, so they appear without a file location. Watcher does not look for generated Allure HTML (allure-report).

Artifacts

Artifacts are the attachments of each test, such as screenshots, videos and traces, grouped by test, attempt and retry. Attachments that exist only in memory are counted, but their contents are not stored.

Availability labels

LabelMeaning
Present nowA file or directory exists at that location right now.
Missing nowNothing exists at that location right now.
External locationThe destination is outside the project; Watcher does not check it.
UnresolvedWatcher could not determine a location.
Availability unknownThe check was slow, denied or ambiguous.

These labels describe the current filesystem, not the original output. Reporters often reuse the same destination for every run, so Watcher warns: Current contents may belong to a later run. Allure results may also combine several runs.

Preview and download

Where content access is available, eligible artifact files have Download, PNG images also have Preview, and explicit report files have Download. Watcher checks access at the moment you select an action.

PlatformContent access
WindowsUnavailable. The dashboard shows Content access unavailable on this platform/configuration. References remain visible.
Linux (native local filesystem)Available, Experimental.
macOSUnavailable.

When available:

  • Preview shows a PNG image up to 16 MiB, 32,768 pixels on either side and 32 million pixels in total.
  • Download saves the current file as an opaque attachment with a generated .bin name, up to 1 GiB.
  • Directories cannot be downloaded, and there is no in-dashboard HTML report viewer.

Downloads always use the current file, which is not archived: Current file; not archived. Current contents may belong to a later run.

Artifacts can contain sensitive data

Screenshots, traces and network logs can include credentials, customer data or personal information. Watcher does not redact them, and saved downloads are under your control.

Viewing an HTML report

Watcher does not serve HTML reports. Open them the usual Playwright way, for example:
